Transfer Students

StFX welcomes applications from students who wish to join the StFX community and have completed credit courses at a university or college. A transfer student is one who has attended a college or university since graduating from high school. Courses completed at another university or college may be applied to a degree at StFX. These courses – known as transfer credits – are recognition of the academic coursework completed. Please review the menu items below for more information about transfer credits at StFX.

Mature Students

Applicants who have not completed secondary, or post-secondary education, and who have been out of school for at least three years may be considered for admission. We will assess applicant's academic background and past employment, and consider each applicant on an individual basis. All mature applicants who are interested taking a course for credit or auditing a course must complete an application, and the pre-requisite requirements for the program they are applying to with a minimum overall average of 70% with no mark less than 65%.

Senior citizens (age 65 and over) are not charged tuition fees for undergraduate courses that are taken on campus. The $40 processing fee for the application, and student fees still apply.

Please see the course requirements by program here.

All nursing programs require CASPer to be completed prior to the respective deadlines.
