Support for International Students

The Office of Internationalization offers STFX students support and opportunities to learn.

Services we offer:

  • International Student Orientation (September and January)
  • Supporting students’ arrival to campus (first steps, navigating buildings and resources)
  • Aiding students with maintaining Canadian government immigration documents (Study Permit, Temporary Residence Visa)
  • Providing information on applying to work in Canada including co-op work permits, social insurance numbers, and income tax, etc.
  • Helping students explore post-graduation options
  • Supporting the transition to studying and living in Antigonish, Nova Scotia
  • Understanding the rights and responsibilities students have as members of our community
  • Understanding STFX’s expectations and requirements of students
  • Supporting students in developing positive mental health practices to elevate and maintain their overall wellness.
  • Organizing cultural and social programming

  • You have access to the StFX Recreation Centre where you can engage in sports for leisure, join a team, swim, work out and much more.
