Still Singing in Harmony
On July 18, 2025, a group of StFX alumni gathered on campus for a choir reunion. In the words of choir members: "We treasure these opportunities to come together after over 40 years of being friends and making music together. Our friendships have endured over the years due to our shared experiences at StFX.”
The group is planning a more formal event for Fall Homecoming in 2027, at which time many members will celebrate their 45th anniversary of graduation from StFX (Class of '82). Those interested in participating can contact Yvonne LeFort at yvonnel1982@gmail.com.

Kegan Palmer – from StFX to Oxford
Congratulations to Kegan Palmer '23 on being accepted into Oxford University for a Master's in Public Policy. “This program is highly competitive, leadership-oriented, and an attestation to the success of the StFX public policy program in setting students up for future leadership,” says Kegan, who graduated from StFX with an honours degree in political science with subsidiary in public policy. During his time at StFX, he was president of the Political Science Society. Kegan is the son of Cara Palmer '02 '04, who came back to finish her degree as a single mother. In another StFX success story, she says she traveled with Kegan to Antigonish from Judique, NS, leaving him at day care, often before the start of her 8 a.m. classes.

David Quinn '17 and Emily Pipes '17
Emily Pipes '17 and her husband David Quinn '17 met during Frosh Week at StFX in 2013. Although they grew up in neighbouring communities, worked in the same town across the street from one another, and won the same award in high school together, it was not until they arrived at StFX that their paths finally crossed.
Emily and David have been together for close to 12 years and were married on June 14, 2025. The newlyweds have "many fond memories of StFX" and were excited to share their news with the Xaverian community.
