I am from Halifax and went to JL Ilsley High School. I played competitive sports throughout my life, and was a member of the StFX women’s volleyball team. I currently officiate volleyball and I enjoy playing volleyball, golf and squash.

During my time at StFX, I participated in a student exchange to Australia, course-based service learning, and was a student ambassador for the Embassy of Australia to promote studying abroad. Upon my graduation in 2012, I began my current position as a Student Success Leader. I love my job because it provides me with ample opportunities to meet new people, experience new cultures, and share my passion for StFX.  When I'm not working or travelling, I like to read, relax at the beach and keep active with family and friends.

I am a Native of New Brunswick who now calls Nova Scotia home. I am a member of the St. FX recruitment team and a Student Success Leader for the incoming students of Nova Scotia. I am a graduate of the 2016 class and a washed up St. FX athlete. I can now be found trying to discover the secret Tall&Small granola bar recipe.

Even though I am originally from Ontario, I am a total East-Coaster at heart (donair sauce on everything please)! During my time at StFX, I was a varsity athlete and collector of part-time jobs. I graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Art in Human Kinetics and a minor in English. I am so excited to be a Student Success Leader because I get to share my passion for the StFX “X-perience” with students all over the world, especially from Toronto, the GTA, and the United States. When I’m not travelling, you are likely to find me somewhere near the ocean with my dogs.

I am native to China, where I grew up in Changzhou, Jiangsu province. I came to StFX, which would come to be one of my best life decisions and graduated in 2017. I would never have thought Nova Scotia would become my second home and joined the student success team with great enthusiasm soon after the conclusion of my studies.

During my time at StFX, I was the president of the Chinese Students Association, where I would have great success in developing closer ties between the Chinese community and the rest of StFX. Helping to bridge cultural differences, I was responsible for arranging many successful Chinese celebratory and cultural events and immersive Mandarin language programs which were actively attended by both domestic Canadian and international students alike.

Being an International student myself, I bring a lot of passion to my student success leader role and am inspired to help share my experiences and knowledge to future students of StFX in China.

Growing up in Ottawa, Ontario I never thought I’d end up calling StFX my home for over 4 years but here I am, after completing my four-year BBA degree, spreading the great word about StFX all over Eastern Ontario and Quebec! At StFX I was heavily involved in student life across campus including serving as Orientation Committee Co-Chair, volunteering with campus societies, competing for the Gerald Schwartz School of Business competition team and even bartending many Wing Nights at the famous Golden X Inn! Nowadays, my spare time is spent eating way too much watermelon, trying to relive my figure skating glory days and spending as much time at the beach as possible.

As a Student Success Leader, not only do I get to share my love for the University everyday but I get to make connections with and support students from all over transition into an exciting new realm of life.  I love what I do, so please feel free to contact me at any time!

I am a very passionate and happy person! I am the mother of two beautiful kids, Jose who’s 7 and Maria Isabela who’s 4. I am a writer, have written a journal since I was 12 (go figure!) I just like to write it all down so I won’t forget any important details. I enjoy travelling and love Canada with all that it is! I had the opportunity of living in West Canada and loved it there, but now I am in love again with the East coast! I just love the way people is and their openness to welcoming new people from anywhere around the world! Antigonish is such a beautiful and friendly town!

I’ve actively worked in International Education since 1998, 20 years I’m celebrating now! (and counting!) and have played different roles from counselling students to coordinating an International Association and running my own business, and I’ve got to say that studying abroad is indeed one of the best bets you can give to yourself! I just found myself on the best path advising and supporting students who are looking for a way more exciting and one-of-a-kind experience while studying abroad!

Estaré feliz de ayudarte a tomar una de las mejores decisiones que tomarás en la vida! Venir a estudiar a St. Francis Xavier University y formar parte de su maravillosa comunidad!

I grew up in the tech hub of India, Bangalore and have now made StFX my home away from home. My inherently inquisitive nature towards culture and cuisine has taken me across continents. I have had the opportunity of living in England and completing my degree in IT.

I decided to pursue a business degree at X as it has a wide range of options in the business program that complemented my IT background. It is taught in the state of the art business school – The Gerald Schwartz School of Business. The friendly, engaging and personal atmosphere of StFX and the wider Antigonish community also played a major role.

Besides academics I had numerous opportunities to get involved in the International Students Society, Students Union and community organizations which allowed me to evolve holistically. I was also able to secure a Co-op position on campus in the IT department. I am delighted to share my experiences with international students and help them in their decision making process.

When I am not adding extra heat to everything I eat, I am involved in organizing events for international students on and off campus to facilitate their integration with Canadian culture and have the exclusive Xaverian experience.
