Xplore Program

Start strong with Xplore: Build your goals, discover your strengths, and connect your learning to your future career.

The Xplore Program is an initiative to help first-year students build a strong foundation for intentional curricular and cocurricular learning that supports educational development and career readiness. This program will provide information and strategies to guide thoughtful engagement with the wide array of curricular and co-curricular opportunities available to them at StFX.

The program will be delivered over the span of three weeks (January 11 to February 4, 2026), with a chance to make up any missed sessions in the fourth week. Each week, students will complete in-class activities that develop awareness, exploration, and application of the topic for the week.

Registration for Xplore 

To register for Xplore, select a section that fits your course schedule and complete the short registration with your name and StFX email address. Sections are available on Sunday, Tuesday, & Wednesday evenings. The full set of sections to choose can be found on the Student Career Centre's Xplore workshops calendar. 

To register for Xplore: 

1. Find your schedule in Banner Self-Service > Student Services > Week at a Glance

2. Go to the Xplore workshops calendar (Category "Week 1" >Search). Opens October 27, 2025)

3. Select a section that fits your schedule and register. One registration will add you to the list for 3 weeks in a row. If you need to repeat a session, you will need to register for the appropriate workshop.

Students who attend and complete the Xplore program will be entered to win various prizes. To meet the attendance requirements, students must participate in all three sessions and remain present for the full duration of each session. Partial attendance will not be considered as having attended the session. Stay tuned for the list of prizes!
