A 2018 graduate of the Nova Scotia Inter-University Doctoral Program, Dr. MacPhail has been either studying, researching, or teaching in the field of Adult Education for the past two decades. Concerned with social inequality, Scott’s interests include: historical foundations of adult education and its link to modern capitalism, internal migration for employment, and the role adult education plays in citizenship education.

As an educator Scott enjoys teaching and mentoring students as they work their way through the land of academia.
