Today, we join leaders of all faiths in mourning the loss of His Holiness, Pope Francis, the spiritual shepherd to over a billion Catholics around the world.
Pope Francis left an indelible mark not only on the Catholic Church, but on the global community. His message was universal, reminding people of all denominations that to lead is to serve, and that the heart of our shared humanity lies in love for one another.
Father Donald informs me that the 11AM Mass at the University Chapel on Sunday, April 27th will be offered for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis. All students, faculty, staff are invited to come together in prayer and remembrance. The flags flying in Alumni Plaza will also be lowered until sunset on the day of his funeral in his honour.
May he rest in peace.
