The StFX Open House is your opportunity to discover what it's like to live and learn on Canada's most beautiful campus. There's no better way to imagine yourself as a future student than to experience StFX in person.
We have an interactive, fun-filled day planned for you and your parents/supporters where you will:
- Learn about academic programs, student services, and residence options
- Attend faculty presentations
- Explore campus and take a guided tour of residences, classrooms, and student spaces. All 1st year students are guaranteed a room in residence!
- Enjoy a delicious free brunch at Morrison Hall, our main dining facility. Brunch is available by reservation, with times available on the hour from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. You can select a reservation time when you register!

Early and On-the-Spot Admissions
Open House attendees are eligible for early or on-the-spot admission decisions to most undergraduate programs* with no application fee. Don't forget to bring a physical copy of your transcript, which must include a list of all of your currently-enrolled Grade 12 courses.
*Excluded undergraduate programs: Nursing, Education, Forensic Psychology

- Priority placement in residence. The sooner you receive our offer, the sooner you can confirm and apply for a spot in residence. Students who are admitted early get first pick of the best residence room assignments.

Prizes
All open house attendees will be entered for a chance to win 1 of 3 major prizes: a $5000, $3000, or $1000 residence credit. Residence credits are applied to your student account in the year that you begin your studies at StFX.

SCIENCE
Biology on Display (Moira Gallaway, Biology) – J. Bruce Brown Hall Lab 227
Biology from the Microscopic to the Macroscopic. Students will learn about Biology by observing and interacting with many types of living and dead organisms including animals.
- Miniature wonders – pond life, by video microscopy
- Anatomy and physiology - an animal heart dissection, with other anatomical skeletal displays.

Experience Physics (Carl Adams, Physics) – Nasso Family Science Centre 1023
Come and see a variety of physics demonstrations covering radioactivity, optics, electromagnetism and electronics. Fun and accessible for everyone and a good selection of topics you will see in our physics courses and programs.
Chemistry on Display (Brian MacLean, Chemistry) – Nasso Family Science Centre 2037
Join us in NFSC 2037 for an engaging introduction to the Chemistry lab experience! Prospective students will explore a lineup of exciting experiments and learn how our labs operate, complete with student-led tours showcasing our facilities. Tours of Labs and Simulations Centre (Amy Hallaran, Nursing) – Mount Saint Bernard
Join us at the Rankin School of Nursing’s side entrance for an exciting opportunity to connect with current students and the Associate Dean, Dr. Amy Hallaran! Experience guided tours of our cutting-edge Simulation Centre, featuring interactive lab demonstrations with our skilled Nurse Educators. Groups of up to 20 will explore essential training stations, including an Intravenous station.
