Become a StFX Licensee

Any person, organization, or business wanting to use StFX’s trademarks or verbiage on any product, apparel, video, advertisement, or for any other commercial purposes must have a license prior to production, distribution, or sale. This includes businesses that sell to university departments and organizations using the products for internal or promotional purposes. The StFX University licensing contract grants the licensee the non-exclusive right to use the university’s marks. All requests to become a StFX University licensee must go through the Ancillary Services Department.

Licensing Costs

Below are the costs of the licensing process. Additional fees may apply.

• Application Fee: $100 (due upon initial licensing application)

• Royalty: 7% standard royalty rate. Please note that a higher royalty rate may apply for other license types. Royalty payments and reports are due to StFX on a quarterly basis.
