Once again, the world is waiting for the conclusion of another consequential and highly contentious US presidential election. With the fate of democracy in the US seemingly hanging in the balance, and authoritarianism waiting in the wings, the Brian Mulroney Institute of Government will be hosting a panel discussion to weigh in on what is at stake in the 2024 electoral contest between Vice-President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, and what the impact of the outcome of November 5 could be for Canadians.

The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A.

All are welcome.

Panelists: Stephen Marmura (Sociology), Asa McKercher (Public Policy & Governance), Hailey Murphy (Political Science), Anna Zuschlag (Mulroney Institute)

Moderator: Nathan Allen (Political Science)
