Welcome to the Xaverian family! You’ve made your decision and accepted your offer of admission. Now it’s time to get ready for life as a new StFX student.

Important Dates and Events

July 9-10: Registration for First Year Courses begins. Get started by reviewing our New Student Registration Guide.
August 29: International Student Orientation
August 30: Relaxed Start/Community Connections Move-in Day

August 30 and 31: Move-in Day/Welcome Day for residence students. More info coming this week!
September 1: X-Fest 2024 kicks off! Stay tuned for more info.
September 4: First day of classes

Your Get Ready Checklist

If you haven't already, register for your courses! Check your StFX student email to access the information you'll need to do this. Consult our new student registration guide and watch our info session for helpful information on how to do this.
Begin your X-Starts Here modules. All incoming students must complete these required training modules, which offer useful tools to help you adjust to university life and thrive as a member of the Xaverian community.
Register for X-ACT. The six-week program developed by the Student Success Centre and the StFX Health and Counselling Centre is delivered by upper-year students. This program offers tools and strategies to enhance your academic performance, develop coping skills, and build connections with peers.
Check your StFX email account regularly to ensure you don’t miss important updates. If you’re living on campus, your move-in date and time has been sent to you.

Get your Student ID

Submit a photo by August 6th. Your ID card gives you access to the StFX library, residence, meal plans, and more.

Arrange your finances

Make sure you have financial resources in place for your education. Check out the info and support available through our Financial Aid Office.

Register for X-ACT

All new students can pre-register and skip the X-ACT line-up on Welcome Day.

Start the X Starts Here required modules

Show your commitment to being Xaverian – learn how to contribute to a safe, respectful and inclusive community.

Set up your StFX account

Login with your StFX username and password (provided in your acceptance package). Set up your recovery information, click on the 'Outlook' tile and download Office 365.

Register for a relaxed start move-in

Students with disabilities, anxiety, or who are neurodiverse can opt to move into their residence a half day early. Click "Go" to register.
