Biography

Dr. Lambe (she/her) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at St. Francis Xavier University and a registered clinical psychologist. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, including a pre-doctoral residency in pediatric clinical psychology at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Ontario.

Research

Dr. Lambe’s research focuses on the link between young people’s relationships and their mental health, with a specific focus on bullying, peer victimization, and bystander intervention. Her work focuses on developing novel research methods (e.g., using virtual reality) and building community partnerships to gather data and disseminate results. The overarching goal of Dr. Lambe’s research program is to interrupt the developmental continuity between bullying involvement and subsequent mental health difficulties by 1) mobilizing the power of the peer group to safely reduce rates of peer victimization; and 2) promoting the social-emotional development of high-risk, bullying-involved youth.
