APA, 7th Edition – Formatting Your Work

The Psychology Department promotes the use of the American Psychological Association (APA) in its most current version, which is the 7th edition.  

Although the following resources are provided to help you with APA formatting, we recommend that you follow your professor’s / instructor’s requests in each of your specific courses. For example, if your professor asks you to use Times New Roman in 12-point font, you should do so even though the APA guide (Student Paper Setup Guide) indicates that many fonts are acceptable. In short, follow your professor’s instructions, your lab instructor’s instructions, and/or your assignment rubrics when there are discrepancies between those instructions and/or rubrics and the guides provided below.
